On April 20th, 2018, Burton Energy Group was officially recognized as a 2018 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year (ESPOY): Sustained Excellence. This award is given to a variety of companies who are leaders in energy efficient products and services, as well as providing significant energy and money savings. Winners are chosen from the national network of thousands of ENERGY STAR Partners after a vigorous application process. As a Service and Product Provider, the award recognizes us for “catalyzing market transformation in energy efficiency” through the work that we do every day. Burton Energy Group has been an ENERGY STAR partner for ten years, a Partner of the Year Award winner for six, and a Partner of the Year: Sustained Excellence winner for four.
We were officially recognized on April 20th at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. The ceremony celebrated all the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award winners. It is an exciting time at the awards to be around so many like-minded energy professionals and people that really care about the world we live in. To be recognized with such leaders in the energy industry makes the year round work worthwhile. This year, there was a workshop held in conjunction with the awards prior to the actual ceremony itself. Being able to share ideas, learn about new and upcoming initiatives and contribute to such a well-known and recognized organization is exciting and really can make a difference.
And after the awards ceremony, it was time for us to celebrate! It is nice to have such an event that is fun and engaging and recognizes all the work throughout the year that goes into making this happen. As a service and product provider, it’s an honor to receive the award alongside our clients who make this possible. Knowing that such organizations make energy efficiency and savings a priority and part of their company culture is refreshing. And to be able to enjoy the recognition in a such a fun and exciting atmosphere is energizing, if you will excuse the pun. We look forward to continued participation in ENERGY STAR programs and with any luck, more awards in the future.
For those of us who were unable to attend the ceremony, we were happy to celebrate the award as an office on April 25th. We would like to thank ENERGY STAR and the EPA for recognizing all our hard work, as well as our wonderful partners who make our work possible.
