The large influx of turn-key project management work being executed by the Burton Energy Group has led us to integrate software and systems that allow us to more easily track installations and surveys. Integration of key third-party mobile platforms can accelerate our internal platform and processes to scale out our Project Management team.
Fastfield is one of the mobile form applications we use to track project data and statuses. On site contractors fill out online surveys, upload images, and submit them to the Fastfield portal which are then securely sent to Burton Energy Group for review and tracking. Once we receive a new survey, the images and data files are attached to our internal Smartsheet so our project management team can more easily process workorders without the need to visit multiple websites and manually search through images.
The automation software also updates our internal project status based on the type of survey received. For example, an HVAC Survey Report notifies us that preliminary surveying of a site has been completed, and we are ready to move on with the installation. While a Startup Report provides us with close-out documentation allowing us to monitor proper installation completion and notify our clients.
In practice, what this means is that our project management team can focus on quality control and processing workorders rather than updating ETA’s and attaching images. Freeing up the project management team to focus more on our clients’ needs and less on digital paperwork.
