EPA 2015 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award
Mr. Brent Burton shared the news of Burton Energy Group’s 2015 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence award. Burton describes the importance of ENERGY STAR and what winning the awards means to him.
We could not do it without the belief, passion and investment that our clients and other alliances make daily to produce such astounding results. And we could not pull all of this off without the platform, guidance, best practices and utilization of tools provided by ENERGY STAR.
ENERGY STAR 2015 Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony
The 2015 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony was held at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington D.C on April 20, 2015.
The excitement in the room was tremendous and it was very inspiring to be a part of a group of individuals and organizations who are committed to protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency. This post shared our recap of the ceremony itself!
ENERGY STAR 2015 Partner of the Year Volunteer Day
In celebration of Earth Day and the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award winners, the U.S. EPA held a volunteer day for participating companies on Tuesday April 21, 2015. We rolled up our sleeves along with about 15 fellow volunteers to remove invasive plant species in the historic Dumbarton Oaks Park located in the Georgetown neighborhood of northwest D.C.
Burton Partners with Clark Creek Elementary School – a STEM Academy
In 2015, Burton Energy Group partnered with Clark Creek Elementary School – a STEM Academy (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) located in Acworth, GA. Some of the activities Burton was involved with included a career day for engineers and a Georgia STEM Day. When visiting the school, we noticed how similar their STEM Engineering and Design Loop (used by the school to help students become independent problem-solvers and provide skills necessary for STEM challenges) was to the ENERGY STAR Guidelines for Energy Management process loop! We showed the students the ENERGY STAR process loop and discussed how the US EPA’s ENERGY STAR program is a large component of our everyday business!
Burton Energy Group Recognized as an Elite Member of ENERGY STAR’s Certification Nation
2014 marked the 15th anniversary of ENERGY STAR’s Certification Nation for buildings and plants. To celebrate the anniversary, ENERGY STAR provided special recognition to organizations that certified 5, 15, 50, or 150 buildings in 2014. Elite Member certification status was granted to organizations that certified at least 150 buildings or plants in 2014.
Burton Energy Group was honored to receive Elite Member Certification by certifying 201 buildings in 2014-tying for fifth in the overall rankings of organizations!
