Annual Budget Guidance

Burton Energy Group assists clients with annual budget projections for electricity, natural gas, water and sewer utilities. We use current year costs as a benchmark and forecast the percentage increase or decrease for the upcoming calendar year. Research and analysis includes a review of natural gas and electricity futures markets, interviews with utilities to analyze their rate forecasts, discussions with alternative suppliers in deregulated markets, calls with pricing analysts and other market experts, and historical trending patterns segmented by utility and geographic region.

The utility forecasts are used by Burton clients to supplement their current budgeting practices. If there is a significant disparity in projected costs additional analysis is conducted using the aforementioned criterion.
