Burton Energy Group and LodgeWorks partner on Energy Management Program.
LodgeWorks recently signed an energy management agreement with Burton Energy Group to provide services to their full portfolio of hotels. As part of the services agreement Burton will be responsible for the overall implementation of the LodgeWorks energy management program. The scope of work will include utility bill management, energy purchasing, energy conservation and sustainability initiatives, preparation of utility budgets, and review of waste management and recycling opportunities.
Greg Epp, LodgeWorks VP and Controller, commented “"Energy consumption continues to be a large cost of doing business and as a management group we are looking for a complete program to reduce our usage and ultimately our operating expenses. Such efforts become even more important in this environment and we are very pleased to have Burton Energy Group's expertise on our side."
Brent Burton, founding partner of Burton Energy Group, stated “the LodgeWorks team, specifically Tony Isaac, Greg Epp and Seth White, impressed us with their breadth of experience in the hotel sector and strategy for further portfolio growth in 2009 and 2010. A comprehensive, integrated plan to reduce energy usage and cost will be critical as properties are added in geographically diverse markets.”
