PB&J Day Concludes With Record Number of Sandwiches.
Employees from Landmark Restorations and Burton Energy Group recently participated in preparing sandwiches for various Atlanta homeless shelters. The group easily surpassed the count from each of the previous seven years, with a total of 3,881 sandwiches made. As has been a staple of past PB&J days, the group enjoyed the goodwill cause, starting early in the morning and taking a quick break for lunch before finishing in the afternoon.
Frank Thomas, Founder/President of Landmark and host of PB&J Day festivities, “I am continuously amazed at the quantity and quality of sandwiches made by this group, as well as the enthusiasm for this worthy cause. I know the churches that distribute the sandwiches and the shelters that receive the sandwiches are grateful for the time and resources provided by the Burton team. They left our warehouse a little tired and weary, but with the 2009 goal clearly in mind – 4,000 sandwiches!”
