PB&J Day for Atlanta Homeless Shelters another success.
Roswell, GA - Employees from Landmark Restorations, FelCor Lodging Trust and Burton Energy Group participated in preparing sandwiches for various Atlanta homeless shelters. The group surpassed previous year’s tallies with a total of 3,000 sandwiches. The 2007 event marked the seventh consecutive year of contributing to this worthy cause.
Frank Thomas, president of Landmark and host of PB&J Day festivities, stated, “What started out as a whim has grown into a special day for us all. The participants step up to the table and, in assembly line fashion, produce a large quantity of sandwiches – whatever is requested by the churches that distribute to the shelters. Every year we solicit suggestions for improvement, tweak the process and exceed our numbers from the previous year. It’s really a source of pride to see if we can make quality sandwiches and still hit our goal, and it would not be possible without the efforts of FelCor and Burton.”
