Burton Energy Group and Meyer Jabara Hotels ink energy contract.
Roswell, GA - Burton Energy Group and Meyer Jabara Hotels today executed an energy management services agreement. The agreement entails the full suite of energy services offered by Burton, including utility bill management, commodity procurement, energy and water conservation, utility budgeting and custom, internet-based reports.
Henry Kelley, CFO of Meyer Jabara, noted that “a general manager at one of our largest assets had worked with Burton and spoke highly of their knowledge in the energy and hotel sectors. We are excited to begin the energy program.”
Brent Burton, principal of Burton Energy Group, “the Meyer Jabara portfolio represents a major energy management opportunity. Most assets are located in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, where energy prices are high and markets – both natural gas and electricity – are deregulated”.
Initially the partnership will focus on purchasing opportunities and select energy efficiency projects at the larger MJH properties.
