Market Expertise

The Burton track record in the hospitality sector is a perfect example of this methodology.  In 2001, the Company started with one client and a few properties.  Burton consciously grew at a steady pace, deliberately adding clients only as resources could be dedicated to provide quality support.  During this period Burton was continually learning about this industry, and refining services to parallel its needs.  Now Burton is a leader in providing energy solutions to the hotel market, iterated with the exclusive partnership representing the AH&LA.

The energy market is, in a word, complex.  Procuring natural gas and electricity in deregulated markets entails a myriad of differing rules and regulations.  Each state’s operating parameters are unique, and contract language is written accordingly.  Market pricing and products contain energy centric terminology that requires experience and expertise to evaluate.  What one hotelier thinks is a competitively priced deal may be viewed as a high risk contract by another hotelier.
